We are absolutely loving local travel right now, even more so with staycations. Just a short ten minute drive from home and you are in the lap of luxury, away from the snotty nose terrors and guaranteed one night of not doing the dishes.

Our province has so much to offer, so we eagerly visited, reviewed and narrowed it down to our top three.

1. Imagine you're on a cruise ship at The Houghton Hotel

The Houghton Hotel Pool View

Have a game of golf followed by a pamper at the spa, then indulge in a three course fine dining menu all while keep fit the following morning at the private gym. The Houghton Hotel is an all comprehensive stay, you get everything you could every desire and it’s all under one roof. You will never regret a stay here.

This hotel is in a league of its own with Fitbar Gym on site, Sejour fine dining restaurant, Pebbles casual poolside eatery, breakfast at Nova Bistro, the state-of-the-art spa and a renowned golf course.

To tune into your boujee side and live in the ultimate lap of luxury for a night, visit this location. 2. Imagine you're snazzy royalty at The Radisson BLU Sandton

Bath in the penthouse at Radisson BLU

Hop onto the higher-grade bandwagon. Be a splendidly swanky princess for the night in the penthouse of this hotel. Firstly you wont believe you’re in Johannesburg with the most spectacular view of the city, Jozi has never looked so glorious. This double storey abode, with a lift, two bedrooms, kitchen, lounge and dining room, is just top class.

We recommend staying in the room and never leaving, and that Joburgers is an order. Room service is outstanding so order three courses of that and a bottle of their finest and pretend you’re a regal royal.

#HelloRecommends taking a bubble bath, while pouring a glass of bubbly overlooking the stunning city views.

Imagine you hit the jackpot at the 'Vegas Style" The Maslow Hotel, Time Square

Pretoria is a brand new city, unique to Jozi in many ways and so you are guaranteed to feel on cloud nine. Escape your own town woes and head for this lovely Jacaranda city.

This hotel is all about enjoyment. Entertainment encompasses your entire stay with so much on offer from the casino, games rooms, bull rodeo rides, and entertainment shows (soon to come) it really is the definition of pleasure.

So pretend you’re a teenager for the night and go grab a giant cookie milkshake at Guy Fieri’s Restaurant with a jumbo mac n cheese burger and chips and play a round of games.

The room is lovely and the bed is exceptionally comfortable.

#HelloRecommends having their hotel breakfast buffet, it is completely covid compliant and just a scrumptious experience.
