Gauteng, we’re keeping it fresh

Babylonstoren extends its farm-fresh delivery service to the City of Gold and beyond

Gautengers yearning for the sweet taste of life in the Cape Winelands now have access to an exclusive, farm-fresh offering from Babylonstoren, delivered right to their doorstep. This, thanks to a new, curated host of growers, bakers and makers – as well as a dedicated Babylonstoren delivery crew – based in Gauteng.

A unique offering, ensuring freshness

Babylonstoren has proudly partnered with small urban farmers and artisan producers, including local bakeries, to ensure only the freshest fruits, veggies, and bakes make it onto their delivery vehicles and your homes. For online shoppers, this means receiving a curated selection of options to choose from each morning, based on seasonal availability and daily harvests.

“As Joburgers can’t visit Babylonstoren as regularly, we decided to bring a bit of Babylonstoren closer to our patrons up north,” says Tandi Oosthuizen, head of e-commerce. “By opening a new warehouse in Midrand, we can offer the same personal experience and quality products to our Gauteng customers. An excellent customer experience is of utmost importance to us and therefore, all deliveries in the Johannesburg and Pretoria area are done by our own drivers who embody the same hospitality you would experience on the farm.”

Exclusive Babylonstoren products

A selection of exclusive Babylonstoren farm-made produce with a longer shelf-life is also available in Gauteng. These include the farm’s own extra-virgin olive oils, water buffalo mozzarella and other soft cheeses, as well as their high-pressure processing (HPP) raw juices. The Babylonstoren range of wholesome ready-to-cook and ready-to-serve meal solutions can also be ordered for home delivery. These include hearty fresh soups, deep-dish quiches, and ready-to-heat risottos.  They also offer exciting meal kits with simple recipes to make your own homemade pasta, burgers, or a Japanese-inspired Teriyaki stir fry.

“We never compromise on quality, and we want the same for our patrons in Johannesburg and Pretoria,” says Koos Redelinghuys, the operations manager at Babylonstoren’s new Johannesburg hub. “Our fundamentals are based on great teamwork and sustained accountability, which ensures our customers an exceptional product together with a unique experience. Our fresh produce selection is guided by nature and the seasons, adding simple sophistication to everyday living.”

Babylonstoren are servicing the following areas for fresh home delivery from Monday through Saturday:
