Bucketlistb portfolio shot

The festive season has arrived and I know how much our readers love to spoil that special person in their lives. Well I’ve gone out and selected my top 8 beauty must-haves for 2021, which have been personally tried and tested.

From sunscreen and calming oil to shampoo and face masks, here is my selection:

1. Intense Protect SPF50+ Eau Thermale Avene

RRP: R329 from DisChem, Clicks, Dermastore and Woolworths.
SPF 50+ product pack shot

This is for that friend who loves the beach.

What I love: It is fragrance-free, water-resistant, sweat-resistant and fast absorbing oh and it moisturizes for 8 hours.

The product is also not harmful to the marine environment, and in line with Eau Thermale Avene’s Skin Protec, Ocean Respect pledge.

For the friend who appreciates sulphate free beauty products.

What I love: The shampoo is actually foamy and non greasy, your hair will never feel cleaner or look healthier plus the mask penetrates deeply into the hair follicles, so worth the splurge!

For the friend who appreciates local.

What I love: Everything, it is local, it is proudly African and it actually works. Your skin deserves the love, softening and hydration.

Try the face juice, max hydrator.

4. Terres d'Afrique Body Butter

For the friend who’s obsessed with self care.

What I loved: This local and all natural Omumbiri Body Butter is oh so luxurious, rich and most importantly non-greasy, so ideal for summertime. Suitable for all skin types.

5. Mercedes Benz for her Eau De Toilette

RRP: R1,245 (60ml) from DisChem
Mercedes-Benz for her edition pack shot

For the friend who loves to smell like a fresh floral boujee babe.

What I loved: The fragrance is oh so divine and so fresh but the best news is you can now get it with an exclusive Swarovski necklace. There is currently a promo running at Dis-Chem, where consumers receive the necklace as a gift-with-purchase when they buy a Mercedes Benz For Her scent. This promo is running for the duration of the festive season, while stocks last.

Avon beauty packshot

For the friend who is too glam to give a damn.

What I loved: It is the festive season ladies and even if we are stuck at home, we need to ensure we always look fabulous. This collection is full of spotlight-stealing jewel tones and glimmering finishes for eyes, lips & nails.

7. Justine Tissue Oil Miracle Treatment Hair Lotion

For the friend who is obsessed with her luscious locks.

What I loved: it actually works. Plus the biggest pro was its reduction of frizziness and dullness. It also locks in moisture oh and it is so affordable!

8. Olio Calm Tincture oil
