Bedfordview just became super cool, thanks to Cin Cin Cocktail Bar
The Takeaway
- Hand crafted, original cocktails in a speakeasy ambience.
- Small simple, tapas menu and wacky cocktails.
The fabulous Cin Cin Cocktail Bar recently opened it’s doors and has made Bedfordview one of the coolest destinations in the city right now.
We are still in lockdown level one and so while you can, we recommend keeping safe, wearing a mask and visiting this latest nightlife hotspot.
So if your heart desires hand crafted, original cocktails in a speakeasy ambience there might not be a better location than this. The cocktails are wacky and wild, super extravagant with unique ingredients and inventive recipes. It is all very exciting.
Whether classic cocktails recent ubiquity is due to their usual boring dull nature, don’t opt for their mojito or old fashioned, instead try these…
Which cocktails to cling to:
NO.1- brandy, cherries, naartjie, peated whisky, amaretto and citrus for R115.
NO.3 – coconut rum, orange liquer, tequila, melon prosecco and cranberry R125.
Spicy Apple – cardamom apple, seedlip spice, apple cider tonic and soda R95 (non-alcoholic option).
Other exciting options (we didn’t get to try, as unfortunately they didn’t have a few of the ingredients).
Harry and the Angel – gin, creme de menthe, matcha, apple, elderflower R115
The Woodrow Wilson -bourbon, mango, beer reduction, rooibos, kombucha and pineleaf R120.
Oh right and to chow down there is a tiny tapas menu, we recommend their pealaffels and chilli sauce and barbeque chicken wings. But let’s be honest, honor the space, dig into the seductive vibe and yes it is all about the drinks!
