The 15th annual Cableway Charity Challenge is set to deliver an unforgettable day of endurance for a meaningful cause. Cape Town’s cherished charity fundraising event returns this month, with the 15th edition scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2024.
This distinctive mass hiking experience beckons individuals, corporate teams, and school groups to conquer Platteklip Gorge repeatedly from sunrise to sunset, all in support of noble causes.
This year’s event, held in a single impactful day, resumes its tradition after adapting to pandemic protocols with extended durations in recent years.
Participants enjoy the camaraderie of climbing together against the stunning backdrop of Table Mountain.
The 2024 Challenge supports causes such as empowering township residents with organic farming skills. This aids Early Childhood Development efforts in Hout Bay, provides nutritious meals to underprivileged communities, offers emergency services and bolsters wildfire response efforts.
The aim is to secure R1 million in pledges. This will benefit the nominated beneficiaries of 2024 who make a profound impact in their respective fields.
