Spier Wine Farm has unveiled its latest annual ceramics exhibition, “The Persistence of Memory,” an intricate exploration of time, texture, and memory—both personal and collective.
The exhibition borrows its title from Salvador Dali’s famous 1931 surrealist painting, renowned for its melting, distorted clocks draped over a vast landscape. This new ceramics display juxtaposes hardness with softness and functionality with aesthetics, engaging with the concepts of space, time, and memory.
The The Persistence Of Memory exhibition showcases over 50 pieces from artists across South Africa, distinguished by their tactile and textural appeal.
