Sima Kade’s Kama Cabin, Magaliesburg
We’re not exaggerating – this cabin gets booked out over weekends months and sometimes even more than a year in advance. And, for good reason. The tiny, double-storey cabin is romantically hidden between leaves and rocks in the heart of Sima Kade Valley. Remember the national Covid-19 Lockdown? That’s when Sima Kade ventured into adding this little gem to the valley. With a double bed, it sleeps two and the downstairs couch is perfect for a child. There’s a romantic outdoor bath and a wood-burner fireplace too.
Each season at the Kama Cabin has its own charm, making it ideal to book now and enjoy your stay later. And, if you’re unable to secure this one, there are other cabins on the premises as well.
Spionkop Eco Cabin
Who would’ve thought that a working cattle-farm could lead to a stress-free and off-grid breakaway? Only a few kilometers from Reddersburg’s Spionkop is an eco-cabin built on a Free State family farm. Open blue skies, yellow grass, golden sunsets and a KolKol hot tub – it’s all waiting for memories to be made.
This cabin was designed to ensure picturesque views from all angles.
Night Jar at Katrina’s Rust
Enjoy ultimate privacy, while being tucked away at the base of a koppie, and nestle yourself into the bush as you enjoy long-distance views of the mountains. Imagine relaxing in a KolKol wood-fired hot tub while gazing at the stars. In addition, the dome is not only romantic, but it is also pet-friendly.
Further to this, we love the fact that there’s no Wi-Fi signal in the cabin, as it forces you to immerse yourself in nature and to truly unwind. There are plenty to do at Katrina’s Rust – from bird watching to fishing and hiking!

Verloren Cabin
Get lost at the Verloren Cabin, located in the Breede River District between Touws River and Montagu. This cute little cabin allows you to escape reality with an outdoor bath, shower and hot tub, and breathtaking surroundings of the Langeberg and Outeniqua Mountains.

Rosemary Hill
Rosemary Hill boasts much more than just one cabin. In fact, they have their very own, self-dubbed Cabinville on the farm. They’ve used various recycled building materials to construct their cabins. From actual shipping containers (with its original floor planks), the cladding, ceiling materials, beadings, bricks and sanitary equipment, all the way through to the cooking-oil drums used to cast the concrete columns on which the frames rests.
Here, you can hike, cycle, play Padel, have a picnic, ride horses, explore the farm with a Segway and much more!
