Johannesburg, get ready to unleash your creativity for a night that’s all about art and heart! The legendary Night of 1000 Drawings is back and it’s your chance to shine.

On September 7th, 2024, Victoria Yards will be transformed into a dazzling display of artistic talent, all in support of three fantastic charities. So, grab your sketchbooks – unleash your inner artist and get doodling.  Mark your calendars and get ready to for a night of doodles, drawings, and delightful do-goodery!

How Can You Get Involved?

Donate Your Art:
Grab anything A5 and set your mind free! Whether it’s a whimsical doodle, a vibrant sketch, a striking photograph, or a piece of embroidery, we want your A5 masterpieces. Please note, all artworks must be submitted before the 20th of August; no art will be created on the night itself. Submit your creations to us ahead of time and they will be sold for R200 each, with all proceeds going to support three incredible charities.

Night of 1000 Drawings is run by a team of passionate volunteers and we’re always on the lookout for more help. If you’re enthusiastic about art and want to contribute to this amazing event, we’d love to have you on board.

Meet the Charities Creating Masterpieces of Impact

Lefika La Phodiso: Africa’s trailblazer in community art counselling, Lefika La Phodiso has been the rock of healing since 1994. They provide art therapy and counselling to those impacted by trauma, ensuring that creativity helps heal hearts and minds across Gauteng and beyond.

Home  Hope for Girls: Since 2000, this incredible organisation has been offering a safe haven for girls escaping abusive situations. Home for Hope is dedicated to restoring dignity and providing support for a brighter future.

Safe Study: Born out of the COVID-19 crisis, Safe Study is a lifeline for youth in Lorentzville. Offering academic support and creative arts enrichment, Safe Study turns challenges into opportunities for learning and growth through an after school enrichment programme.
