Jaguar has just unveiled their latest model, the Type 00, which encapsulates its original ethos of copying nothing.
Following the debut of their new visual identity, Jaguar is said to be undergoing a transformation journey. Ultimately, the next step is their Type 00, with bold forms and desirable characteristics that form part of its distinctive design vision concept. In fact, this unique visionary design is what we can expect to inspire future Jaguars.
Jaguar’s Legacy Rebranded
When Sir William Lyons founded Jaguar, it was on the basis of copying nothing and inventing everything. Premiering the design vision concept at Miami Art Week, Jaguar recaptured the ‘Copy Nothing’ ethos, showing motoring enthusiasts what’s to come.
Adrian Mardell, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, says: “The magic of Jaguar is close to my heart – an original British luxury brand unmatched in its heritage, artistry and emotional magnetism. That’s the Jaguar we are recapturing and we will create the same sense of awe that surrounded iconic models like the E-type.”
Furthermore, Jaguar is moving towards being an electric-only brand. Rawdon Glover, Managing Director of Jaguar, says: “We have forged a fearlessly creative new character for Jaguar that is true to the DNA of the brand but future facing, relevant and one that really stands out.”
Type 00: A World Premiere
A physical manifestation of Jaguar’s new brand philosophy, the Type 00 exudes exuberant modernism. While ‘Type’ links the vehicle back to the brand’s provenance, the first zero references the zero tailpipe emissions of the vehicle. Furthermore, the second zero speaks to the vehicle’s status as ‘car zero’ in Jaguar’s new range.
Professor Gerry McGoven, Chief Creative Officer of Jaguar Land Rover, says: “Type 00 has an unmistakable presence. This is the result of brave, unconstrained creative thinking, and unwavering determination. It is our first physical manifestation and the foundation stone for a new family of Jaguars that will look unlike anything you’ve ever seen. A vision which strives for the highest level of artistic endeavour.”
The four-door electric vehicle has a long and sleek bonnet, sweeping roofline, fastback profile and 23-inch alloy wheels for a dramatic silhouette. With flush surfaces, a glassless rear tailgate and a panoramic roof, it brings about an instant sense of sophistication.
Of course, the interior is a full sensory experience. The vehicle can be tailored to your heart’s desire through lighting, sounds, screens and materials of brass, travertine stones and textiles.
This vehicle is a prelude to a future generation of Jaguars that will recapture the spirit and essence of the brand at its best. Sit William Lyons believed that Jaguar’s cars should be considered artforms, hence their presence at Miami Art Week emphasised the brand’s purpose as an advocate for art and creativity in all its forms.

Set to be revealed towards the end of 2025, the first new-generation production of Jaguar will be a four door GT. This vehicle will target a driving range of up to 770km WLTP or 692km EPA on a single charge and adding up to 321km of range in as little as 15 minutes when rapid charging.
