Pigalle Bedfordview Seals Deals & Celebrates Loves

If you are looking for a place to wine and dine in Bedfordview, Pigalle is the ultimate restaurant for dressing up and eating out. This Portuguese restaurant redefines fine dining where Mediterranean cuisine is concerned. Whether you are in the mood for king prawns or a medium-rare steak, Pigalle will deliver it to you on a silver platter.
A Royal Welcome
Whilst there was no fanfare when we entered through the double-glass doors, we were greeted with a glass display of vintage wines and an interior designed for elegant dining. We sank into luxurious chairs that felt like clouds and were handed the wine list before we could ask for it. Thereafter, Jan placed the cream serviettes over our laps before he brought some freshly baked bread for us to nibble on whilst browsing the menu.
As we looked around at the impressive space, we spotted couples holding hands, families enjoying a night-out together and business colleagues sealing deals over good food. We quickly realised that Pigalle Bedfordview was perfect for anything and everything.
A Menu That Delivers
For starters, who could resist tempura prawns in a sweet chilli sauce? Not us, that’s for sure! We also chose to try their beef trinchado which was served with a perfect piece of Portuguese bread to dip into the delicious sauce.
Main course is where the magic was served. On their special’s menu, we spotted East Coast Baby Sole in a lemon butter concoction, which we could not resist. Served with perfectly fried chips, the fish fell off the bone as though it was caught a mere few hours earlier. We drizzled the lemon butter over the fillet and got stuck in.
We then turned our attention to the Fillet & Prawns Combo that was placed before us. The fillet was perfectly medium-rare, just how we like it, and was doused in Pigalle’s signature basting. As we sliced into the meat, it drifted apart seamlessly, melting in your mouth to release perfect tastes and textures. The prawns were butterflied and seasoned with tandoori-style spice, their shells slipping off effortlessly.
For pudding, despite an impressive selection, we opted for an Espresso Martini and Strawberry Daiquiri to end the night on a high note.
We can confidently say that Pigalle’s cuisine made us feel as though we had been transported to Portugal without having to cross an ocean.
After Naldo Goncalves established Pigalle in 2004, it has since become a beacon of culinary excellence in Bedfordview. Now, 21 years later, Pigalle still boasts the luxury and elegance it was curated to encompass. Being part of the NR Collection has only made it that much more of a hotspot in Bedfordview’s impressive culinary scene.
So, whether you’re sealing a deal or celebrating love, Pigalle Bedfordview delivers on every count, and remains as proof that elegance, flavour and hospitality never go out of style.
