Why January Medical Bills Can Hit Hard: And How Gap Cover Helps
January has a way of exposing the cracks in even the most carefully planned budgets. After the festive season, households are met with a flood
This summer, it’s all about what’s in the cup. Nespresso’s latest Summer Iced Coffee Collection is a celebration of cold coffee rituals – bringing together new flavour-led blends, returning iced favourites, and limited-edition machines designed to elevate every chilled sip.
Launching at the height of the South African summer with a pop-up at Nelson Mandela Square, the collection taps into the country’s ever-growing love affair with iced coffee. From early-morning iced lattes to midday pick-me-ups and sunset cold brews, Nespresso’s seasonal offering is designed to keep coffee lovers refreshed, energised and inspired, no matter the moment.
“Summer in South Africa is all about vibrancy, connection and great flavour. From refreshing iced coffee serves to limited-edition flavours, we’ve crafted a coffee experience that celebrates the rituals our consumers love – especially when it comes to enjoying coffee cold.”
Nerika Singh, Brand Manager at Nespresso South Africa
At the heart of the collection are coffees crafted specifically to be enjoyed over ice. This includes the standout Pistachio Vanilla flavoured coffee – a decadent yet refreshing blend where creamy nuttiness meets soft vanilla sweetness. Designed to be served cold, it delivers a smooth, indulgent iced experience that feels both nostalgic and modern. From the creamy Iced Pistachio Vanilla Furthermore, the refreshing Coconut Vanilla Flavour Mint Iced Coffee highlights the versatility of Nespresso’s cold blends and encourages experimentation beyond the classic iced latte.
Also returning are much-loved seasonal blends like Coconut Vanilla, which offers a tropical twist with every sip. Also back is Nespresso’s functional Active Coffee+ for Vertuo. Infused with Vitamin B6 and layered with almond and vanilla notes, this iced-ready coffee speaks to the growing wellness-led coffee movement, offering flavour with purpose for busy summer days.
Beyond the limited-edition releases, Nespresso’s permanent cold coffee range continues to anchor everyday iced rituals. Think the smooth Freddo Delicato or bold Freddo Intenso for Original machines, and the robust Ice Forte for Vertuo. These blends have become staples in South African homes, cafés and summer entertaining setups, and have become synonymous with relaxed hosting, on-the-go mornings and effortless summer sipping.
To celebrate the collection, Nespresso is bringing iced coffee culture to life with a three-day Summer Pop-Up at Nelson Mandela Square from 30 January to 01 February 2026. Designed as a playful, 90s-inspired coffee playground, the space invites guests to taste the latest iced creations, explore seasonal machines and accessories, and immerse themselves in a high-energy coffee experience centred on flavour, discovery and community. Wear your best pastel yellow and green outfits, and enjoy floating in a cup of iced coffee surrounded by other caffeine lovers.
One of the weekend highlights takes place on Saturday, 31 January, with a public coffee run in collaboration with Vault Strength Club. The morning blends movement and coffee culture, with runners enjoying iced serves – including the hero Active B6 – alongside breakfast bites and a lively Coffee Rave powered by DJ Lelo What’s Good.

Completing the experience is a range of limited-edition machines and accessories dressed in soft pistachio and pastel yellow tones – a visual nod to summer’s lightness and ease. From Vertuo Pop and Pop+ machines to travel tumblers, ice cube trays and Barista Mixologist Glasses, the collection is designed to complement iced coffee rituals with both style and function.
The Nespresso Summer Iced Coffee Collection launches online and in Nespresso boutiques from 19 January and will be available for a limited time only.
With temperatures rising and iced coffee firmly cemented as a summer essential, Nespresso’s Summer Iced Coffee Collection offers a flavour-first approach to staying cool, caffeinated and connected this season.
