Praise be, The African Pride Melrose Arch, Autograph Collection Hotel is a dream come true. Nestled in the epicenter of The Arch this luxurious hotel is breaking the mold. This hotel amplifies the bliss of city getaways and encourages a much-needed getaway. Moreover, the hotel makes a great first impression, not only is the reception area impressive but wait till you try the breakfast buffet. A site to behold. The hotel isn’t new but has re-opened since covid and we went for a 48-hour weekend getaway. And no we didn’t want to leave.

The rooms are a work of art in themself overlooking the bustling streets. The result is a contemporary yet opulent setting. The rooms are equipped with a balcony and a cosmic bathtub, all open plan. You will also find a study district, a coffee corner, a shower and a plush, cloudy king-size bed. The room celebrates its beautiful Jozi setting with an extra touch of luxury.
Besides this, the hotel boasts a pool area which is reason enough to stay the two days. It is spectacular and feels like you’ve just been dropped down the rabbit hole with Alice. There are spheres of sun beds scattered about, enhancing the exclusive and personal experience. You can even enjoy cocktail o’clock in the pool with a snack in their cleverly designed seat areas tucked inside the water. You are guaranteed to get your weekend getaway fix right here.
