Beatles ’64 is an all-new documentary set to launch on the Disney+ platform on 29 November 2024. Featuring never-seen-before footage of The Beatles, the documentary will look into the milestones of the world-renowned band. The documentary begins back in February 1964, when The Beatles touched down in New York City. It shows how fans were joyous and practically hysterical over the bands’ presence at Kennedy Airport. That excitement soon became known as Beatlemania. Soon, the band captured the hearts of the entire city after their debut performance on The Ed Sullivan Show, which held the attention of 73 million people at the time.
More than just a historical display and timeline of events, the documentary also airs rare footage filmed throughout the years. Essentially, the brotherhood of John, Paul, George and Ringo is explored throughout the doccie, highlighting their places and influence in each other’s lives.
Beatles ’64 was produced by Martin Scorsese and directed by David Tedeschi. Documentarians Albert and David Maysles ensured that the film is nothing short of extraordinary. Additionally, Giles Martin and WingNut Films added the musical element to the documentary, elevating the visuals of new interviews with Paul and Ringo.
Fans were also interviewed for the documentary, giving insight into how The Beatles transformed their lives and why they still listen to their timeless music today.
