2023 ISCM World New Music Days Festival

The World New Music Days is an annual contemporary music festival organised by the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM). NewMusicSA will host in South Africa the centennial and first-ever African edition of the ISCM World New Music Days between November 24 and December 3 2023. The festival will bring together in Gauteng (Soweto and Johannesburg) and Cape Town orchestras, ensembles, composers, performers, conductors, programmers and other music and performing arts professionals from all over the world for 10 days of music, residencies, workshops, masterclasses and exhibitions. The program is set to have a strong Pan-African approach, creative exchanges with Europe, entry to international markets, and attention to the diaspora.
