Alexforbes has been announced as the headline sponsor of the Cape2Rio 2025, the 18th edition of this renowned transatlantic race in its 54-year history.
The Cape2Rio challenges sailors with a demanding route from Table Bay, Cape Town, to Guanabara Bay, Rio de Janeiro, drawing top-tier yachts and crews from around the world.
Set to begin on 27 December 2025, the race is expected to feature around 30 entries, primarily from South America and South Africa. The Cape2Rio typically takes about a month to complete, with the current record standing at just 7 days, 20 hours, 24 minutes, and 44 seconds.
