Ster-Kinekor at Carnival City brings you the hottest Hollywood blockbusters on the big screen. With six state-of-the-art Ster-Kinekor cinemas featuring the latest blockbusters and 3D movies, you can catch the latest local and international releases in high definition at Carnival City.

Movie lovers are promised an amazing cinema experience which includes a Cine Prestige Cinema as well as a dedicated Kids Cinema, one of only six in South Africa.

Thrill your little ones with these fabulous titles coming in December, including Throwback movies Shrek The Third and Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted on the 19th and 26th respectively. The Spongebob Movie: Search For SquarePants, Pets On A Train, and Treasure Hunt are all scheduled for December, and Tom & Jerry: Forbidden Compass is coming early January.

Slip into a world of AR snipers, car racing, ghost exterminating and more. Carnival City’s Magic Company arcade has various games for young and old to enjoy while you collect points on your card as you play and exchange them for prizes at the Prize Shop.

Challenge your family, friends, or colleagues to a memorable game time of ten-pin bowling which promises hours of fun, laughter, and excitement. Ten Brunswick lanes, paired with ultraviolet lighting, background music and SuperSport channels that are on throughout the day combine to provide thrilling entertainment.

Lazer Zone is fast-paced combat game played with guns that fire infrared beams in a low-light arena. Infrared-enabled clothing is worn by players so that the lazer beams can be detected during the game. With the aim to shoot your opponents as many times as possible and gain powers from shooting gem targets, it’s best to play Lazer Zone in teams or groups. Also known as Lazer Quest, Lazer Combat or simply Lazer Zone, the game is 100% safe to play and can be enjoyed by children aged five years and older.

What would a carnival be without go-karts? Designed with safety and fun in mind, Carnival City’s Grand Prix outdoor racing track will not only put your driving skills to the test, it will have you whizzing around the S-bends faster than a strike of lightning As the home of go-kart racing in the East Rand, our 450-metre track features thrilling sharp bends to navigate before you race toward the finish line. A minimum height restriction of 1.45m applies.

Fun Fair rides are available outside Magic Company. You can purchase R20 tickets, and rides use 1 to 5 tickets per person, per ride. Unlimited Fun Fair Rides 300 per child/person for a wristband.

Available rides include: Carousel, Mini Wheel, Cups, Palio, Free Fall, Balloon Ride, Skylab, Elephant Rides, Break Dancer, and Wacky Worm.

New rides for December 2025: Crazy Beach Party, Ferris Wheel, Rodeo, Bumper Cars, Twin Ranger, and Wild Mouse.
