Clipper The World Yacht Race
This unique event features over 700 people, aged 18 to 71, representing 55 nationalities and professions including electricians, orthopedic surgeons, police sergeants and teachers, and the event’s first Mother Daughter duo, competing together on a matched fleet of 70ft ocean racing yachts.
Clipper Race Dome is open: 8 – 16 November: 9:00am – 5:00pm
You can meet the alumni (those who have participated in the thrilling adventure previously) and find out more about taking on the world’s biggest oceans. Make sure you take the chance to test your knot tying skills at one of the Marlow Ropes stations and view footage of what the teams encounter at sea.
Public Yacht Tours: Sunday,12 November: 9:00am – 7:00pm
Members of the public are welcome to come and explore what it is like to live onboard a Clipper Racing Yacht for free. You will be able to explore the yacht above and below deck and talk to race crew currently participating in the Clipper 2023-24 Race.
Youth Group & Schools Yacht tours: 12 – 14 November 9:00am – 5:00pm
Working with local schools and community, the Clipper Race has made the option for children to come and experience what life onboard an Ocean Racing Yachts is like. This will allow children the opportunity to meet crew and professional sailors.
Race Start: Thursday, 16 November 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Follow the action of the race start as the Clipper Race fleet departs the V&A Waterfront Marina, and embarks on the 4,750nm to Fremantle, Australia.
