Award-winning comedian Alan Committie is back at Theatre on the Bay with Comedy Gold, his latest laugh-out-loud stand-up show.
In Comedy Gold, Committie hands out humour awards to the quirks, contradictions, and inefficiencies of modern life in 2024. From elections and questionable decisions to Airbnbs, neighbourhood WhatsApp dramas, Olympic antics, and dieting advice, no topic is off-limits.
Expect clever wordplay, physical comedy, and whimsical detours that only this comedic genius can deliver. Oh, and there’s a flipchart. Always a flipchart.
While not a traditional athlete, Committie proudly serves as a reserve for the Lower Bergvliet Amateur Association 7th Team Badminton Squad—and he never eats carbs on a Tuesday.
Directed by the (possibly enhanced) Chris Weare, this show promises a night of sharp wit and unparalleled hilarity. Did we mention the flipchart?
