Constantia in the City
From 20 to 30 April, eight of the Constantia Wine Route’s most celebrated Sauvignon Blanc producers will be popping up across Gauteng to offer complimentary weekend wine tastings. A host of hot locations for the tastings will be revealed on the route’s Instagram account (@constantiawineroute). The pop-up’s culminate in a Sauvignon Blanc Party on Thursday 4 May at Workshop 17 at The Bank in Rosebank.
The evening, which starts at 18h00 and runs until 21h00, will be an opportunity to experience some of the country’s best Sauvignon Blancs, with a live performance by Blow Electroband. Tickets for the party are R200 per person and available through Quicket.
Constantia is Serious About Sauvignon. In fact, the valley makes up 0.4% of the total wine producing regions of South Africa. This very small and special pocket of vineyards has a unique terroir that produces wines of distinction. Serious Sauvignon Blancs with depth, character and age-ability.
“Constantia’s Sauvignon Blancs are strongly shaped by their terroir, which results in a purity of expression that is rare,” explains Carryn Wiltshire from the Constantia Wine Route. “There is nowhere on Earth where this noble grape presents quite as it does in Constantia!”
Don’t miss out!
P.S. Tickets include Sauvignon Blanc tastings from eight Constantia wine estates, harvest table and live music by Blow Electroband.
