The fourth annual Dan Really Likes Wine (DRLW) charity auction is happening on Wednesday, 21 November, at the renowned Strauss Auction House in Houghton.

Launched by Dan Nicholl in 2020, host and producer of South Africa’s leading online wine show, this event has become a must-attend for connoisseurs and those passionate about supporting worthy causes.

This year’s DRLW auction features an extraordinary selection of rare wines and exclusive experiences, with all proceeds benefiting Reach for a Dream, the Cape Winemakers Guild, and The Nicholl Foundation.

Highlights include a bottle of 1969 Lanzerac Pinotage, a premium collection of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Burgundy by Great Domaines, and a luxurious two-night stay at Taaibosch, complete with a vertical tasting and a case of the estate’s celebrated 2018 Crescendo vintage.

Also up for grabs are a 12-bottle, multi-vintage vertical case of the award-winning Vilafonté Series M and a rare magnum of De Klerk Signature Wines – a Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot blend crafted by Historic Wines.

On Auction: A Riverfront Country Estate Where Art, Architecture & Nature Live in Harmony

Tucked within the exclusive Korhaan River Estate, where fewer than 30 families share in the quiet luxury of open skies, river breeze and uninterrupted privacy, this remarkable property brings country living to life with elegance, intention, and a touch of soul.

Set along the gentle Leeuspruit River — just a short flow from the mighty Vaal — the estate unfolds across 70,500m² of manicured grounds, three shimmering dams, and sweeping lawns made for unhurried afternoons. It’s the kind of setting where mornings begin with birdsong and evenings settle beneath a canopy of stars — whether as a permanent sanctuary or a sophisticated weekend retreat from city rush.
