Kaleidoscope Festival 2025

From 22–24 August 2025, the town of Prince Albert comes alive for the Kaleidoscope Festival, a three-day celebration of South African music, cuisine, and community.

Showcasing world premieres, new commissions, and performances by renowned artists, the festival highlights the country’s rich and diverse musical landscape. Kaleidoscope is more than a music festival. It’s a cultural journey blending classical and chamber music with Karoo-inspired food and wine in iconic venues. Guests can enjoy intimate concerts, gourmet pairings, and live entertainment while supporting local talent.

Events Highlights

• 22 Aug, 12:30 | PACT Youth Centre: ARCO Project Youth Orchestras perform South African and children’s music. Coffee and crumpets from Hope Warriors Coffee Shop.

• 22 Aug, 19:30 | The Showroom: Songs from Near and Far with Minette du Toit-Pearce, Louise Lansdown, and Hendrik Hofmeyr. Pre-concert pizzas and wine at The Langhuis.

• 23 Aug, 10:00 | The Dance Floor, Swartberg Pass: Round the World with Four Violas with Rory Africa, Louise Lansdown, Emma Farnsworth & Klara Rüttimann. Breakfast served by The Lazy Lizard.

• 23 Aug, 12:00 | The Yellow House: Brass Tastic featuring the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra Brass Quintet. Wood-fired pizzas and local wines follow the concert.

• 23 Aug, 17:00 | The Old Barn, Gays Guernsey Dairy: African String Quartet with CT Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Pre-show cheeseboards and wines from Gay’s Guernsey Dairy.

• 23 Aug, 20:00 | The Swartberg Hotel: Breakfast in Cape Town, Lunch in New York, Dinner in Prince Albert—Nick Turner and Schalk Joubert with a three-course dinner.

• 24 Aug, 11:00 | Garfield’s Place: Long Walk to Freedom commemorates the Rivonia Trial with world premieres and tangos, followed by a curated African-style feast at Jeremy’s Restaurant.
