Get ready for the Medihelp Sunrise Monster, a thrilling event happening at the Harlequin Club in Groenkloof, Pretoria on March 2, 2024. With over 6,000 participants in previous years, this race is a must-attend.
Medihelp Medical Scheme is pulling out all the stops to make this year’s event memorable. The 32 km Sunrise Monster is perfect for serious runners, serving as the ultimate Comrades conditioner. If you prefer shorter distances or want an active day with family, friends, or colleagues, consider the 21 km Half Monster, 10 km Mini Monster, or 5 km Baby Monster.
Families can enjoy a special cordoned-off play area for kids, featuring jumping castles, obstacle courses, and entertainers. Water points will be available every 3 km, and Netcare 911 will provide medical support along the race routes and at the finish line.
In an effort to be environmentally conscious, Medihelp encourages participants to use their own pre-filled water bottles and hydration packs. The green theme extends to the race attire, with a chance for the Greenest Monster to win an exciting prize.
Leading up to the event, check the website for the Spot the Monster competition. Find one of the hidden Sunrise Monsters for a chance to win one of three Garmin Forerunner® 245 Music smartwatches.
Runners and walkers from all over Gauteng and surrounding provinces are invited to join this epic race and fun-filled event. Take home a medal and make this one for the books!

Tucked within the exclusive Korhaan River Estate, where fewer than 30 families share in the quiet luxury of open skies, river breeze and uninterrupted privacy, this remarkable property brings country living to life with elegance, intention, and a touch of soul.
Set along the gentle Leeuspruit River — just a short flow from the mighty Vaal — the estate unfolds across 70,500m² of manicured grounds, three shimmering dams, and sweeping lawns made for unhurried afternoons. It’s the kind of setting where mornings begin with birdsong and evenings settle beneath a canopy of stars — whether as a permanent sanctuary or a sophisticated weekend retreat from city rush.
