The Oceans 8 Charity Swim fundraising event is set to unfold at Durban Undersea Club on June 15th and 16th, 2024.
Event Details:
8 Milers
- Swimmers tackle 4 miles on both Day 1 (Saturday, June 15) and Day 2 (Sunday, June 16), with Monday, June 17, as a contingency day.
- Races commence every 75 minutes from 7:30 am.
- Entry fee: R1,000 (includes exclusive Oceans 8 Charity swim gear).
- Swimmers must raise a minimum of R5,000 for the main charity.
- Limited to 150 swimmers.
4 Milers
- All funds raised will be evenly distributed among the 10 invitational charities.
- Swimmers complete 2 miles on each of the two event days.
- Entry fee: R600 (includes exclusive gear).
- Minimum fundraising: R3,000.
- Limited to 20 swimmers.
1 Milers
- Participants choose one of the 4 events on either Day 1 or Day 2.
- Entry fee: R150 (includes Oceans 8 gear) plus R850 fundraising for charity.
- Funds raised will be equally divided among the 10 invitational charities.
- Limited to 50 swimmers per event.
