The Oceans 8 Charity Swim returns to Vetch’s Beach at the Durban Undersea Club on June 14th & 15th (16th), 2025 — uniting dedicated swimmers, ocean enthusiasts, and changemakers for a powerful challenge that makes an impact beyond the shoreline.
Created by charities, for charities, the Oceans 8 Charity Swim is South Africa’s first warm-water ocean challenge of its kind. Hosted at Vetch’s Beach in Durban, this two-day event features four race distances—1, 4, 8, and 16 miles—designed for swimmers of all skill levels to enjoy safe, calm, and consistent ocean conditions.
The swim supports 14 impactful non-profit organisations operating across KwaZulu-Natal. Proceeds help fund vital work in education, environmental conservation, community development, and social upliftment for those who need it most.
Fueled by a shared commitment to swimming and sustainability, Oceans 8 invites participants to dive in—not just for the challenge, but for a cause that truly matters.

Tucked within the exclusive Korhaan River Estate, where fewer than 30 families share in the quiet luxury of open skies, river breeze and uninterrupted privacy, this remarkable property brings country living to life with elegance, intention, and a touch of soul.
Set along the gentle Leeuspruit River — just a short flow from the mighty Vaal — the estate unfolds across 70,500m² of manicured grounds, three shimmering dams, and sweeping lawns made for unhurried afternoons. It’s the kind of setting where mornings begin with birdsong and evenings settle beneath a canopy of stars — whether as a permanent sanctuary or a sophisticated weekend retreat from city rush.
