Open Book Festival
The Open Book Festival 2025 returns to the Homecoming Centre at the District Six Museum, a vibrant space where arts, performance, learning, and community come together. The Open Book Festival celebrates not only literary sessions but also community and spaces that bring people together.
The festival’s second home, The Book Lounge, Cape Town’s beloved independent bookstore, provides an intimate setting where readers connect, conversations spark, and literary communities flourish. Books by participating authors are available ahead of the festival.
At the HCC Marketplace, visitors can browse and have books signed, discover local creatives, relax in the decompression zone, and enjoy offerings from Not Sad Food and Lubanzi wine.
Tickets are available online through Webtickets.
