Following its acclaimed 2024 premiere, Orpheus McAdoo returns to Artscape Theatre from 21 October to 2 November 2025.
This stirring musical tells the true story of Orpheus McAdoo and his Virginia Jubilee Singers, an African-American choir whose 1890s tour of South Africa captivated the Cape.
The story follows McAdoo and Mattie as they navigate love, ambition, and the challenges of being Black performers in colonial South Africa.
