Reclaimed

SPH Fine Art Fairs & Events is thrilled to present Reclaimed, a captivating exhibition of collage artworks crafted from recycled and repurposed materials.

The exhibition opens on 29 November 2024 and will run until 29 January 2025 at the Gorgeous George Hotel.

Visitors can expect a rich display of 40 unique works, selected from over 100 submissions, showcasing a variety of mediums, including wood and metal sculptures, layered fabric collages, paper collages, and installations created from natural materials.

Featured artists include Siyabonga Mlambi, Dave Robertson, Jane Barnes, Karina van den Heever, Lauren Shantall, Susan Proctor Hume, Jan Vingerhoets, and more.

The theme of Reclaimed reflects SPH’s commitment to sustainability, upcycling, and recycling in art, fashion, and furnishings. It also pays homage to the eco-conscious spirit of Gorgeous George, known for its creative flair and earth-friendly values.

The hotel’s skilled team offers top-tier art installation support, with state-of-the-art hanging systems and lighting to enhance each piece. Hosting art exhibitions regularly, Gorgeous George is excited to present Reclaimed over Cape Town’s high season.

Reclaimed is open to the public and Gorgeous George guests, with free admission. All artworks will be available for sale.
