Red Bull Quicksand

Experience the ultimate test of endurance with Red Bull Quicksand, where running on sand amplifies the challenge. You’ll expend 1.6 times more energy compared to running on a road surface, as you tackle sandy climbs designed to push your limits of endurance, acceleration, and speed.

• Date: Saturday, August 17, 2024
• Location: New Beach, Durban
• Start Time: 08:00

Participation is limited to 800 runners.

SCHEDULE

You will receive your race start time 1 day before the event. Please arrive 45 minutes early to collect your Race Pack and Race Number.

The race will feature an energy-draining knockout format with heats, semi-finals, and finals.

FORMAT

• 08:30 – 11:00: Pre-scheduled heats with a digital timing system
• Top 50 male and female runners advance to the semi-finals.
• 11:40 – 12:05: Semi-Finals – Top 10 male and female runners move on to the finals.
• Finals: Two sessions – The top 3 male and female runners will make the podium.
