Space Rocks

The National Children’s Theatre (NCT) gears up for an exhilarating production, Space Rocks, that merges science, technology and mythology.

Space Rocks is set to grace the stage at NCT Theatre in Parktown from May 4th to May 25th.

Having wowed audiences at the Cradle of Creativity in Cape Town and embarked on a school tour with Drama For Life theatre company in 2017, the play has garnered acclaim both locally and abroad.

Tackling themes such as sustainability and STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), Space Rocks also champions gender empowerment in these fields.

The story unfolds as young JoJo and his sister Jinks embark on an imaginative space odyssey aboard their makeshift spacecraft, fleeing earthly conflicts. Guided by JoJo’s planetary expertise, they traverse various celestial bodies.

Each offers invaluable lessons to confront their fears and challenges, including the daunting Void and Vortex. Along their journey, they grapple with resilience, emotional awareness, trust, and independence.
