Winnie The Pooh at the National Children’s Theatre
Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood, a new adventure is about to begin!
Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey!
Welcome to National Children’s Theatre, where you will meet Christopher Robin and his best friends, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit and Owl (and of course Tigger too!) in a beautifully-crafted musical stage adaptation.
Winnie the Pooh has been enjoyed by millions of readers and viewers ever since British author A.A. Milne first chronicled the adventures of Christopher Robin and his friends in 1926. The books, featuring illustrations by English illustrator E.H. Shephard, have sold over 50 million copies worldwide.
In this adventure Winnie the Pooh and his pals, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, have their happiness disturbed when they discover that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare a rescue operation, the animals learn about friendship, teamwork, and, of course… sharing snacks.
They are sure their creation, the Backson trap will succeed, but by some strange quirk of fate, they all land up in the trap themselves, and have to work together to find a way out. In the end, of course, Christopher Robin shows up and solves the problem of the Backson.
Under the direction of Ivor Jones we are gathering an outstanding professional cast and in addition will be welcoming our workshop students as the busy bees in the Hundred Acre Wood.
