Fashion Meets Skincare: Malondié x Vaseline Cera-Glow S/S 2025

Malondie Spring/Summer 2025 Collection with Vaseline Ceramic-Glow as main sponsor

In Johannesburg this August, heritage, beauty, and fashion will collide in a celebration unlike any other. On Saturday, 30 August 2025, leading South African fashion house Malondié will unveil its Spring/Summer 2025 collection in partnership with Vaseline Cera-Glow, marking a groundbreaking collaboration where skincare takes its rightful place on the runway.

Themed “We are the fruits of where we come from”, the showcase is not just about garments — it’s a storytelling journey that fuses cultural identity with the confidence that comes from glowing, healthy skin.

A Collection Rooted in Heritage

Malondié’s visionary Founder and Creative Director, Londeka Buthelezi, draws inspiration from the isigege — the traditional Zulu maiden skirt — to anchor the collection. For her, this garment is not only a personal memory of youthful celebration but also a symbol of cultural pride and continuity.

“This show is a love letter to our roots,” she shares. “Each theme is a chapter in that story, from bold colour and fruity prints to crisp whites and tonal safari looks. The collection is designed to embrace your inner radiance and confidence, even before you put on the garments themselves.”

The runway will unveil 60 looks across four themes:

1. Summer Blocks Collection (15 looks)

2. Fruits Collection (15 looks)

3. Quiet Luxury Collection (15 looks)

4. Pink Safari Collection (15 looks)

Where Skincare Becomes Fashion

What sets this showcase apart is how seamlessly skincare is woven into the narrative. With Vaseline Cera-Glow as the headline skincare partner, glowing skin is no longer a backstage afterthought — it’s a vital part of the runway aesthetic.

“Vaseline Cera-Glow stands at the intersection of beauty and care,” explains Anele Maphanga, Head of PR for Beauty, Well-being and Personal Care at Unilever South Africa. “Glowing skin is the foundation of confidence and self-expression, much like fashion. As such, collaborating with a visionary like Londeka and a brand like Malondié, rooted in culture and bold creativity, reflects the future of beauty: intentional, authentic, and empowering.”

This collaboration reflects the future of beauty: intentional, authentic, and deeply rooted in culture.

Backstage to the Runway

From backstage skin prep to the final walk, Vaseline Cera-Glow ensures that every model shines — inside and out. Together, Malondié and Vaseline are celebrating African beauty in its truest form: radiant, bold, and unapologetically confident.
