S!GNS Restaurant Sandton delivers an experience that goes beyond food, blending Afro-Global flavours with a stylish setting that feels right at home in Rivonia’s dining scene. From the thoughtfully plated dishes to the attentive service and vibrant atmosphere, the evening feels curated rather than rushed. It’s the kind of restaurant you choose when you’re marking an occasion or simply craving something a little more sensory than your usual night out.
At the heart of S!GNS is its exclamation mark — a symbol of celebration, intention and presence. It represents the brand’s belief that dining should never feel passive, but rather something to be experienced, savoured and remembered. Every detail, from the design to the plate, is crafted to highlight life’s moments and encourage connection around the table.
More than just a restaurant, S!GNS is a space where contemporary luxury meets thoughtful simplicity, delivering a dining experience rooted in authenticity, balance and discovery.
From the moment you step into S!GNS Restaurant Sandton, you’re met with an atmosphere that feels intentionally curated — striking interiors, thoughtful lighting, and a vibe that balances elegance with relaxed sophistication. According to the restaurant’s ethos, every detail is designed to “awaken the senses” and create a memorable dining experience.
When we walked in for our evening reservation as the sun was beginning its descent, the warmth of the lighting wrapped around us instantly. The music was lively yet tasteful, and the space felt both intimate and stylish — the perfect setting for a double date night with your closest friends. When asked where we would prefer to sit – inside next to the impressive bar, on the veranda with massive windows, or in the more lounge-like area – we immediately chose the natural lighting area where we could sip cocktails and watch the sunset.

S!GNS clearly positions itself as a destination for Afro-Global Fusion cuisine — dishes that are bold, culturally rooted, and globally inspired. Guests praise the creative flavour profiles, unique twists to classic dishes, and beyond thoughtful presentations.
During our visit, we started with two Aperol Spritz, a Strawberry Margarita and a Spooky Tequila Sunset – absolutely gorgeous, delicious, and refreshing. Our second round of drinks a bit later on in the night ventured to include an Elderflower G&T, a mocktail Mango Tango, a Classic Margarita, and a Devil Margarita – who knew red wine and tequila would mix so perfectly in the latter.
As far as the food goes, we started with quaint Spinach and Mushroom and Prawn and Cream Cheese dumplings, tasty arancini balls and a vibrant small plate of crispy calamari with a lemon aioli. We passed the plates around the table to ensure everyone tried everything. Spoiler alert: everything was superb.
Our mains were all about beef — the men had the Ribeye on the Bone and a 500g T-bone, whilst us ladies had the Herb Crusted Fillet Mignon in a Diane sauce. Each bite revealed a new nuance of taste, with crunchy vegetables, herb mash potatoes and sweet potato fries complimenting the dishes perfectly. On a side note, we will be coming back for their Biltong Sushi – how absurdly amazing does that sound?
Whilst we were bordering on uncomfortably full already, there is always room for dessert. We welcomed the Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Brownie, Sorbet Duo, and Milk Tart Brulé with wide eyes and open arms.

One standout element of S!GNS is its attentive service and hospitality. It has built a reputation for pairing exceptional food with world-class service, something which contributes greatly to the overall experience.
Our server, Sifiso, was knowledgeable, engaging, and helped guide our meal choices perfectly. From recommending stand-out cocktails to checking in at just the right moments, the service elevated the meal tenfold.
With a refined approach to fusion food and a focus on bold flavours and sensory experience, S!GNS aims to deliver more than just a meal — it promises a moment. Overall, our experience at S!GNS was highly enjoyable. The food sparked conversation, the service made us feel welcomed, and the ambience set the tone for a memorable evening. It’s a restaurant we’d recommend for those seeking something a bit different in Sandton – just come with an open palate and ready for an experience.
