A recent visit to Letamo Lodge, one of the reserve’s three exclusive lodges, revealed just how well this destination caters to families with children of all ages.
Letamo Lodge has been thoughtfully designed with families in mind, ensuring that children have a variety of engaging activities to keep them entertained throughout the day. The dedicated Kids’ Club is a standout feature, complete with arts and crafts areas, a pool table, PlayStation and TV setup, a trampoline, and a jungle gym. For active kids, there’s even a professional Padel court and a dedicated kids’ swimming pool. The best part? Parents can relax and unwind by the main pool with a cocktail in hand, confident that their little ones are well taken care of by the trained Kids’ Club team.
Beyond the vibrant kids’ hub, Letamo Lodge offers thrilling game drives twice a day, with one at sunrise and another at sunset. Spanning 11,000 hectares, QWABI is a Big-Five territory characterised by a rich, water-filled ecosystem. Families can look forward to spectacular wildlife sightings, and during the sunset game drives, there’s a special treat—sundowners with breathtaking views over the reserve, where kids get a chance to safely explore the wild under guided supervision.
Accommodation at Letamo Lodge is nothing short of luxurious. The spacious rooms come equipped with modern amenities and private balconies, offering serene views of the reserve. While we never had time to experience the spa, a quick peek inside revealed a tranquil oasis with multiple treatment rooms.
