Lion & Safari Park unveils brand new activities
They don’t call the Lion & Safari Park Gauteng’s premier tourist destination for nothing. Now there’s even more reason to head on over to this truly authentic African safari park. An additional host of brand new outdoor activities will keep you and the family entertained for hours.
Horseback Safaris among wildlife
R450 per adult for a 1 hr 30 min ride | R990 per adult for a 3 hr ride
In partnership with RideJozi, they offer Horseback Safaris at the Lion & Safari Park. These include two options: A one and a half hour, and a three hour ride. While the three hour experience includes lunch at the Wetlands Restaurant, both rides take guests on a bush adventure around the park. Ultimately, they spoil guests with a wonderful experience coupled with spectacular views and an abundance of wildlife.
Quad Experience
R850 per adult | R250 per adult passenger | R100 per child passenger
Guests can enjoy a 90 minute quad bike experience through the Lion & Safari Park. In the end, this relaxed drive is the best way to explore nature and it is perfect for a fun family day out. Riders are also encouraged to stop along the way to enjoy the breathtaking views and capture the perfect selfie.
MTB Trails at Lion & Safari Park
R50 per adult | R25 per pensioner | Children under 12 are free (one child per paying adult)
Visitors can also enjoy an early morning cycle through the Lion & Safari Park. There are three routes on offer: The Blue Route (8km), Yellow Route (15km) and Red Route (20km). These MTB Trails are open on weekends and public holidays only. Gates open from 07:00 to 09:30.
Guided Bush Walks
R400 per adult | R200 per pensioner
Explore and discover all the hidden gems of the bushveld from little insects and plants, to trees and birds. During this two hour walk, guests will learn interesting facts about wildlife and the African bushveld as they walk alongside trained guides.
As the Lion & Safari Park is a short 45 minute drive from both Sandton and Pretoria, it makes for the perfect day out with the family. In addition to these exciting new activities, the park has a variety of game viewing options and two onsite restaurants too. There is also a beautifully appointed gift shop with a wide range of goods, including locally sourced African arts and crafts, jewellery, clothing and homeware.
