Minions soon to invade Gauteng
The Minions are a known favourite among South African families. They’ve become known for their funny sayings and clever tactics across the globe. And, they’re back.
The Minion trio Kevin, Stuart and Bob will be in town on Saturday. This is prior to the official launch of the movie, Minions – the rise of Gru. Since the movie will only be launching in July, these yellow figures’ visit serves as the ultimate treat to fans. In fact, it is one of the best possible ways to kick off the launch of the movie.
Carnival City has long been preparing for the arrival of the trio’s Gauteng invasion. Come Saturday 18 June, Kevin, Stuart and Bob will be promoting the Minions – the rise of Gru movie there. If you’re a fan, you can meet the three figures at Carnival City’s Sterk-Kinekor between 14h30 and 17h00.
Ideally, you should be there in time to take some selfies with them. You can even get some autographs too. In addition, little Minion lovers will receive a free Minions – the rise of Gru sticker sheet as souvenir.
What is 'Minions – the rise of Gru' about?
Directed by Kyle Balda, Minions – the rise of Gru will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. In the 1970s, young Gru tries to join a group of super-villains, the Vicious 6 after they oust their leader. The interview turns out to be a complete disaster, resulting in Gru and his Minions going on the run with the Vicious 6 hot on their trail. Luckily, Gru finds an unlikely guide – the Vicious 6’s former leader himself. Soon enough he realises that even bad guys need some help from friends sometimes.
