Vista’s sister ship, Allura, soon to set sail
If you are a fan of ocean cruises and cruise ships, Allura is sure to lure you in. It was named to reflect the excitement of starting an immersive new journey and it’s the eighth addition to the Oceania fleet. Allura is the sister ship to Vista, which is due to set sail in May 2023.
Allura debuts in 2025 and will entice guests to discover some of the world’s most captivating locations. The ship represents the eternal call of the mysterious and the unknown – so we’re told – and will offer new adventures, familiar faces, off-the-beaten-path destinations and more.
Of course, there are already many plans for this new vessel. Ultimately, Oceania Cruises will add some exciting new elements to it, as well as to the rest of the fleet. As with all Oceania cruises, guests can expect the finest cuisine at sea, as well as exceptional, personalised service. The Allura weighs a whopping 67 000 tons and will accommodate 1200 guests. It will also carry 800 officers and crew, offering industry-leading space and staff-to-guest ratios.
According to Frank A. Del Rio, the President of Oceania Cruises, they always look for ways to evolve, elevate and modernise their offerings. Ultimately, it’s all about surprising and delighting their guests as they enjoy immersive new experiences. “We are thrilled with the incredible demand we have witnessed for Allura’s sister ship, Vista, with her maiden season already sold out, and we know Allura will be equally as popular with our guests,” he says.
Allura will offer an array of inventive new dining experiences, including Ember – an upscale signature restaurant that will serve reimagined American classics – and Aquamar Kitchen. These two eateries-at-sea, as well as the largest standard staterooms and a new Chef’s Studio, will debut on Vista in May.
Allura – an all-veranda vessel – is currently under construction, with renowned Italian shipbuilder, Fincantieri S.p.A at the steer. She will sail her maiden voyage in spring 2025. Her inaugural season will feature an intriguing array of marque and boutique destinations across Europe and the Americas and Oceania Cruises will reveal more details this spring. Bookings will open in summer.
Del Rio says Allura’s inaugural journeys are designed to appeal to all global travellers. Whether you revel in the joy that comes with reconnecting with your favourite destinations, or whether you’re excited to discover new places, this journey is sure to tick all the boxes (and more).
