On arrival, we were welcomed by a friendly concierge team, led by the hotel’s Guest Relations Manager, Claude-Francois Ndala, who has decades of experience in some of South Africa’s leading five-star hotels. If you need anything during your stay – big or small – this man and his team will make it happen.
We’re not sure if it was the past two years of lockdown, or the general muteness of the city but walking through the hotel’s lobby and hearing the cacophony of voices coming from the busy restaurant and conference rooms was a breath of fresh air. It truly is great to see that things are finally getting back to normal.
After a speedy check-in, we headed up to the fifth floor, where a two-bedroom apartment with full-service kitchen awaited. If you’re travelling with kids, this is the best room configuration you can get. Especially with Netflix on demand, 24-hour in-room dining and daily room service. Ultimately, this is another way The Capital is redefining travel for both businesspeople and small or large families, and you will struggle to find better value in Joburg.
