The GranCabrio is the company’s first fully electric luxury convertible model and the fastest on the market. In addition, they also touched on the Grecale Folgore as Maserati’s first fully electric SUV. Again, these two lux lines have made the Modena-based company very proud.
The House of Trident is a forerunner in the automotive industry with its innovative development. With that in mind, Maserati’s Head of Design, Klaus Busse and Davide Grasso addressed their sentiments at the launch. Later, the Maserati CEO thanked everyone who attended and closed off the ceremony.
What Makes the GranCabrio Folgore So Unique?
Other than being the peak of luxury, the Folgore is the fastest in its class. Also, technology lifted from Formula E allows this beauty to travel up to 450km on a single full charge. Also, it can charge up to 100km in only five minutes! In addition to its speed, comfort and efficiency, the GranCabrio Folgore stores added energy when braking.
How Fast is Maserati's EV?
Very fast! In fact, this beast will clock 0-100km/h in a mere 2.7 seconds, topping out at around 325 km/h. The newly developed ‘T-Bone’ layout is an innovative move by Maserati, with perfectly planned weight distribution lowering its center of gravity. Thus, as a result the Folgore is put in a league of its own with higher speeds and greater acceleration.
Let’s Talk Torque
In short, it’s 1350 Nm. The state of the art 800-volt battery gives power to three 300kW magnetic motors producing up to 560kW to round off an unbelievable rep sheet.
