Cotton On group invests R300m in South Africa
Shop til you drop is what we always say and if you haven’t visited a Cotton On store this year then we cannot be friends. Who doesn’t love this retail chain? In South Africa, Cotton On operates 167 retail outlets nationally including Cotton On, Cotton On Body, Cotton On Kids, Factorie and Typo stores.
So you’ll be pleased to know they have expanded. The Cotton On group has unveiled a R 300 million new headquarters and distribution centre for Southern Africa.
We went on a VIP tour of the new premises and were encapsulated from the get go. Also we appreciate the positive difference the group is making in people’s lives, including renewable energy, carbon, water & plastic reduction, swift distribution of premium products, and harmonious workspaces.
Furthermore the new central office and distribution centre is in Waterfall City Johannesburg and it will further enhance the customer experience.Moreover they are detailing sustainability as central to their purpose, making public their commitment to water, plastic and waste reduction, carbon neutrality, ethical sourcing, the use of recycled materials, sustainable packaging, uplifting women and the use of natural materials and more.
Not only is the new campus kind to the environment and highly efficient logistically, employee wellness, safety and a harmonious work environment have been prioritized. Both the head office and warehouse staff enjoy the same facilities and services with welcoming entrances and chill areas replicated at the two entry points. There is a state-of-the-art gym with personal trainer available, meal delivery services, coffee machines, wi-fi for all, and plants to increase productivity and replenish focus. Staff entry uses a facial recognition system.
Their products are pretty darn awesome and great quality and so is the staff, the team and the shopping experience.
