The first ever Turbine Art Fair hybrid event to be held in October
We are ecstatic to be able to visit this South African art exhibition in person. Featuring 30 exhibitors from Southern Africa and a host of inspiring special projects and featured artists will all be on offer for the duration of the fair. We had a quick one-on-one with Glynis Hyslop, Founder of Turbine Art Fair to find out what can be expected at this years event and how they have adapted to eventing during the pandemic.
“We are delighted to be able to bring Turbine Art fair back in 2021. People are hungry for experiences and to reconnect again in person. They are also hungry for good quality art and an in person visual experience after so long. We hope to be able to cater for all this in a safe and well controlled environment” says Glynis.
Turbine Art Fair presents TAF ARCADE, a hybrid fair of online viewing rooms and a smaller art fair in Illovo with selected highlighted and featured projects.
Themed Evergreen, the first TAF Arcade will showcase a selection of art, craft and design exhibitions by South African and Southern African galleries, collectives, art dealers, creative project spaces, as well as featured curated exhibitions. A smaller scale in-person event will be showcased from 30 September – 3 October 2021, allowing audiences to experience the fair’s curated exhibitions.
