Three brand new watering holes in Joburg that you must try
Hallelujah! The festive season is upon us. You can feel the electricity in the air. And what better way to celebrate the summertime sunshine than with a tall glass of liquid.
So by the way these are all brand spanking new and we recommend visiting on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday eve.
1. The Rising Tide
Parkwood Mansions, corner Bolton Road and Jan Smuts
So these guys opened last week and their most definitely a secret gem, one you just have to visit.
They’re a cheeky tiki bar in Rosebank and serve the tastiest cocktails. Take a spin with Jozi’s trendiest and you’ll definitely be able to spot a fashion fad or two while there.
2. Solo Sandton
Central Centre Corner Gwen lane and Fredman Drive
Visiting this exquisite spot is an instagrammable moment, make sure you take a pic under the wine arch bar. So the bar closes at 9:30, ensure you get there straight after work. Not only do they offer wine and art evenings but sensory experiences too, so you can enjoy a delectable dining experience while you sip on your ultimate cocktail.
3. The Shortmarket Club
1 Oxford Parks, 199 Oxford Road, Rosebank
So they haven’t even opened their doors yet, but the word on the street is they are set to launch in October and yes reservations are now open!
The offering will be mainly focused on dining alongside gourmet ritzy cocktails and small asian inspired plates. Oh and just by the way a R250 deposit is required per guest to secure your booking.
