Craft beer appreciation at 82 Brews & Rewind, Randburg
Every first Saturday of the month, craft beer lovers gather at 82 Brews & Rewind – located at Co.Space Entrepreneur Village, Randburg – to connect over a couple of cold ones. It’s such an easy-going, fun-loving way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Your ticket gets you two litres of their craft beer or cider, as well as a meal.

Free live jazz concert, Melville
Chiesa Di Pazzo Lupi in Melville is, without a doubt, one of the hippest places to experience jazz in Joburg. It’s not snooty or exclusive and exists to celebrate the love of music. There is No Place That Does Not See is a special, free show bringing together a very special band: Carlo Mombeli (an actual legend) on bass, Keenan Ahrends on guitar, Cara Stacey on African percussion and Juliana Venter on vocals.

Top things to do in Durban
Durban: A Curatorial Journey by Zinhle Khumalo, Umhlanga
Hosted by a talented young curator, Zinhle Khumalo, in the Ballroom at The Pencil Club, this exhibition celebrates a number of young artists who are shaping Durban’s contemporary art scene. Khumalo’s curatorial perspective focuses on diverse narratives of what it means to call Durban home.

Sip & Paint, Queensburgh
Have you ever wanted to paint but felt too intimidated to start? Also, where do you even start? Sip & Paint is most probably the answer you’ve been looking for. Choose your favourite from a selection of pictures, pre-drawn on canvas. They provide all the materials you need to conjure up a masterpiece and guide you through the whole process. Additionally, the venue is beautiful, the ambiance is perfect and you can enjoy unlimited wine and gin. Come on, Picasso!

Things to do in Pretoria
Market at the Sheds, 012 Central
Market at the Sheds showcases a colourful variety of local artisans and vendors that sell handmade crafts and jewellery. At the same time, they cook up some delicious meals and snacks too. The entire day is soundtracked by a number of live bands, starting out tame, but gradually turning into a party. Additionally, the crowd is always incredibly friendly and equally well-dressed. Yes, it’s in the CBD but you don’t have to worry about safety. Free, covered parking is available in spades.

SAN Beer Day at Capital Craft, Menlo Park
We’re just gonna say it: Capital Craft in Menlo Park has the biggest and by far the best beer menu in the country. For South African National Beer day, they’re celebrating with bottomless beer. R250 gets you access to 40 beers and you can drink as much as you want. Also, the food there is delicious! There really isn’t a better place to celebrate SAN Beer day.

Things to do in Cape Town
MANA presents The Significance of Rainbows, Gorgeous George
An immersive multi-sensory experience featuring the MANA band of esteemed jazz musicians Khaya Mthembu-Salter on guitar, Luke Verrezen on bass, Matthew Keswell on drums and Mana on vocals. The band will be accompanied by Anthea Duce, doing projection mapping with visuals by artist, Joshua Pearse.

Love Locomotion by Secret Sunrise Cape Town, Camp's Bay Beach
Secret Sunrise is a global movement on a mission to unite the world through music, movement, and connection. They are a silent dance community (everyone receives a pair of headphones). While they have many different types of events, Love Locomotion is all about dancing and having a great time letting it loose as the sun sets over Camp’s Bay Beach.
