Valentine’s Day at The Galileo: Love Is in the Air
The Galileo Open Air Cinema is spreading the love this Valentine’s Day with their special movie screenings. Not only do they make Friday the 14th spectacular, but the entire weekend!
Valentine’s Day is a special day dedicated to celebrating the one universal emotion that is unavoidable: Love. Whether in a romantic, platonic or familial sense, everyone should spread love this Valentine’s Day and every day thereafter.
One way to get the love flowing is with The Galileo’s movie line-up.
On Wednesday We Wear Pink
Kickstart the week of love with a screening of Mean Girls on Wednesday, 12 February 2025. This movie screening will take place at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. Gather your friends and family and remind them that life is all about hugs, kisses and Valentine’s wishes. Wear your favourite pink outfit and stand a chance to win the Best Dressed prize!
Grab The Gals For Galentine’s Day
The ladies unite on Thursday, 13 February 2025 to watch the screening of Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, also taking place at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. The ultimate trio leads the celebrations with some action, comedy and a whole lot of love. While the power of friendship is often underestimated and under-celebrated, The Galileo is bound to change that this year.
The Showstopper on the Ultimate Day of Love
Treat your partner, friends or family to The Galileo Open Air Cinema screening of Valentine’s Day on Friday, 14 February 2025. For the first time ever, The Galileo is hosting two special Valentine’s Day shows so more audiences can feel the love. Catch the movie at either Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, or head out to Nooitgedacht Wine Estate.
Besides the spectacular film screening at 19:00, there will also be live music from Ezra Lingeveldt at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden and Kirya Kuti will entertain movie goers at Nooitgedacht Wine Estate from 17:00.
Furthermore, each guest will receive a complimentary glass of Cap Classique bubbly by Villiera Wines, as well as a red tulip from Bunches For Africa.
Love is Never Ending
The Galileo doesn’t believe in goodbyes, which is why they bring you another screening – this time, Pride and Prejudice – on Saturday, 15 February 2025. The screening will take place at Glenelly Estate and it’s perfect for a relaxed, chilled-out, romance-filled evening.
No matter which day you are celebrating or which movie you are watching, feel the love with The Galileo Open Air Cinema this Valentine’s Day. Show your loved ones how special they are by creating unforgettable memories with them under the stars.
