Saray Restaurant

Saray Restaurant

This Turkish winter menu is definitely a must for any foodie’s bucket list. Executive Chef Veysel Boğan, uses his homeland’s cuisine as inspiration and crafts heartwarming dishes perfect for the winter season. Yes, from humble beginnings, Chef Boğan’s dedication has shaped Saray into a beloved culinary destination in Cape Town.

In addition to the out-of-this-world winter menu, you can also  enjoy a premium shisha experience, adding to the authentic Turkish ambiance. Saray means ‘palace’ in Turkish, and you can expect no less from the moment you walk through this winter dining destination’s doors. It’s a lavish, royal dining experience.

Rust en Vrede

Rust en Vrede

This restaurant is the epitome of peace and tranquility. More than that, they have also shaped the way we think about food and wine. The restaurant is housed in the original cellar of the Rust en Vrede Estate, which means you get a fine-dining experience in a historic setting.

For this winter, they have a very special six-course menu which runs from Tuesdays to Saturdays at R790 per person. In addition, you can also add a wine pairing for R690. Due to popular demand, bookings are essential. Book you table online or call 021 881 3757.

La Petite Ferme

Le Petite Ferme

Fresh produce, warm culinary dishes and a pure winter delight – these are the things that await you at La Petite Ferme in Franschoek this winter. In fact, the culinary team created a brand-new winter menu, inspired by the rich diversity of our country and its cuisine. Riaan Kruger, La Petite Ferme’s General Manager says: “The finely crafted dishes, including six new dishes, warm the soul and the stomach, and of course are perfectly complemented by our exquisite wines.”

Fine dining next to a cosy fireplace with your favourite wine in hand? That sounds about just right.

Salsify

An award winning experience is something to boast about. Salsify secured a win with Luxury Restaurant Awards in 2023. This intricate restaurant in Camps Bay, offering scenic views of the Indian Ocean and Lion’s Head, is the perfect winter dining spot in Cape Town.

“Winter calls for comfort food and nourishment. It’s a time when we all seek out hearty, wholesome and comforting ingredients and flavours,” says chef Ryan Cole.

The gourmet restaurant’s winter menu has been planned to accommodate winter dining styles, for example shorter dining experiences. The Salsify team has elegantly added a playful edge to comforting winter foods, escalating the plated meal and providing a unique tasting experience.

Enjoy basking in cosy spaces with full-bodied flavours surrounded by good company at any of these hot Cape Town dining spots.
