HJ fans, Joburg just got even hotter and it’s not because of the season, or heatwave but rather thanks to The Playground Braamfontein.
The Playground is a weekly market, by Play Braamfontein which opened in Braamfontein at the end of January 2022.
The concept was brought to life by the co-founder of the hugely popular Neighbourgoods Market, Adam Levy.
“The Playground will amplify new stories and build new storytellers in this city. It will excite a whole new generation and be a holding place for outstanding talent,” says Levy.
Expect a weekly artisan food Market every Saturday with a menu of gourmet street food ( 30 food stalls) and cocktails as well as a a showcase of the best up and coming young designers in South Africa. Oh and did we mention live music will form a part of the weekly musical programme?
The Playground artisan market will open from 09:00-18:00 every Saturday and include an afternoon music line-up.
The Playground is free to enter from 09:00–11:00. From 11:00–18:00 a R20 entry fee will be payable at the door. Note that the venue is a cashless environment.
