Feel the power, passion, and pulse of African indie cinema at the Fame Shorts Film Festival—back in 2025, bolder and braver than ever.

This year, the spotlight falls on stories that challenge, move, and inspire. From frontline struggles to deep explorations of identity, expect films that reveal the unseen, amplify the overlooked, and stay with you long after the credits roll. With bold voices from across Africa and the diaspora, get ready to laugh, cry, shiver—and maybe even see yourself reflected on screen.

2025 Festival Themes

September 4 — Here For The Underdog!
Not all heroes wear capes. These films celebrate the underestimated and unrelenting—those who protect, resist, and never back down. A tribute to the quiet warriors.

September 5 — Night Terrors
Step into the surreal and the sinister. From body horror to twisted love, these haunting stories will leave you breathless—and a little unsettled. (Consider this your warning.)

September 6 — In Family We Trust
Bloodlines, chosen families, fragile bonds. These shorts dig into the ties that bind us—to people, places, and memory. Messy, raw, and full of heart.

September 6 — Tender Riot
Where desire meets defiance. From queer longing to poetic rebellion, this set of films pulses with emotion, unspoken truths, and the courage to be seen.

On Auction: A Riverfront Country Estate Where Art, Architecture & Nature Live in Harmony

Tucked within the exclusive Korhaan River Estate, where fewer than 30 families share in the quiet luxury of open skies, river breeze and uninterrupted privacy, this remarkable property brings country living to life with elegance, intention, and a touch of soul.

Set along the gentle Leeuspruit River — just a short flow from the mighty Vaal — the estate unfolds across 70,500m² of manicured grounds, three shimmering dams, and sweeping lawns made for unhurried afternoons. It’s the kind of setting where mornings begin with birdsong and evenings settle beneath a canopy of stars — whether as a permanent sanctuary or a sophisticated weekend retreat from city rush.
