Entering its 8th edition in 2026, the Joburg Film Festival returns under the theme Feel the Frame, celebrating bold African and global storytelling.
The six-day festival presents a curated programme of screenings, industry events and networking opportunities, bringing together filmmakers, professionals and audiences in a vibrant hub where creativity, culture and business meet.
Presented by MultiChoice, the festival showcases African and international cinema while supporting skills development and creative exchange through its key pillars: the Film Programme, JBX industry platform, Young Voices and the Film Society.
The festival culminates in a prestigious awards ceremony, where outstanding filmmakers are honoured with the Nguni Horn, recognising excellence in storytelling and craft.
