Join us for MoRa, where musician Tumi Mogorosi and poet Lesego Rampolokeng come together at the Kaza Kamba Pan African Theatre Festival on Friday, 15 November 2024, at 19:30.
MoRa unites Mogorosi’s music ensemble with Rampolokeng’s powerful words, creating a performance that delves into South Africa’s cultural and political landscape. The ensemble features Cecilia Phetoe, Sibongile Mollo, and Themba Maseko on vocals, Dalisu Ndlazi on tuba, Lebogang Komane on trumpet, and Gontse Makhene on percussion.
Through music and poetry, MoRa presents a bold critique of South Africa’s cultural landscape, questioning whether political amnesia defines the present and exploring the historical, sociological, and political influences on Black cultural expression. Anchored in what Frantz Fanon calls “national culture,” MoRa embodies a decolonial spirit and examines the enduring question of national liberation.
Experience a unique collaboration of different generations of artists wrestling with freedom’s meaning in today’s shifting global context. This is a must-attend event in a time of global political transformation.

Tucked within the exclusive Korhaan River Estate, where fewer than 30 families share in the quiet luxury of open skies, river breeze and uninterrupted privacy, this remarkable property brings country living to life with elegance, intention, and a touch of soul.
Set along the gentle Leeuspruit River — just a short flow from the mighty Vaal — the estate unfolds across 70,500m² of manicured grounds, three shimmering dams, and sweeping lawns made for unhurried afternoons. It’s the kind of setting where mornings begin with birdsong and evenings settle beneath a canopy of stars — whether as a permanent sanctuary or a sophisticated weekend retreat from city rush.
