We bet that you have never heard of Christougenniatikophobia? This phenomenon is a full-blown fear of Christmas itself. The phobia even includes the fear of Christmas Trees, Boney M, Santa Claus and fear of gatherings or parties. Well we think it’s absolutely bonkers to fear or even protest against such a joyous and festive time of year. That’s why this year we’re making an exceptional effort to chase away those anti-festive ogres with their Bah Humbug attitudes by giving our readers a weekly rundown of what we think makes the Festive Season so Jolly.
This article is the first of many to come over the next two months that will showcase the very best on offer in Johannesburg during the Festive Season. We’ve researched everything from gifting ideas and entertainment experiences to wellness products, events, markets and lots more. So put up your mistletoe, hang your stockings by the fireplace and get ready for the ultimate 2021 Festive Season!
Clear your clutter at Rosebank Sunday Market
On the first Sunday of every month (that’s this Sunday by the way 7/11/21), Rosebank Sunday Market holds a ‘Clear Your Clutter’ pop-up. This event hosts around 20 traders (and growing fast) selling anything and everything cheap-cheap! For those of you wanting to divest yourselves of all the stuff you cleared out during Covid, or…maybe you are ‘gatvol’ and leaving in a hurry… this is the place to sell stuff fast for instant cash! Always remember – One man’s trash is another mans treasure! There is a buyer out there for everything. Who knows, it may just be you!
