The recently refurbished Four Seasons Spa felt like we were worlds away. We indulged in a 60-minute body butter couple’s massage, with heavenly exotic aromas and natural essences, we emerged feeling utterly renewed. The experience was heightened by the thoughtful touches — champagne flutes in hand, light snacks served poolside, and the calming atmosphere of the hillside retreat. Consequently, we left the spa feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle the world head-on. The experience was both intimate and indulgent, exactly the kind of escape that lingers in memory long after check-out.
Dinner at Four Season’s signature Flames Restaurant was nothing short of spectacular. Set against the glittering night skies of Johannesburg to your right and Sandton straight ahead, the restaurant is a masterclass in blending atmosphere with flavour. Each dish was crafted with flair, making the meal feel like an event in itself. Additionally, hearing via the grapevine that the kitchen had recently received a new grill machine, we both tried something from the heart of the fire. A 250g Fillet and an 800g Tomahawk later, we were sitting in food heaven whilst drifting into a food coma on cloud nine. Afterwards, we strolled hand-in-hand under the stars, returning to our suite for a romantic coffee on the balcony — a quiet, private luxury that rounded off the evening beautifully. Furthermore, we couldn’t even tell that we were just off one of the main roads in Johannesburg: the peace was never-ending.

The buffet offered all the timeless classics — perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, seasonal fruit — alongside freshly baked pastries and steaming cups of freshly-brewed coffee. It was an unhurried, flavour-filled start to the day, with that trademark Four Seasons touch of refinement and of course, glittering mimosas.
